  • Overview

    This position is responsible for collaborating with others in senior management to manage the overall profitability, marketing and sales growth of the non-standard automobile product sold through various industry partnerships, including but not limited to independent agents, enterprise agents, national accounts, and other business to business relationships.  To achieve profitability and growth, the team works closely with the product team to ensure that the standard product design conforms with the state(s) requirements and market conditions, and establishes an overall product that will allow us to grow and retain our customer base served through the partnership channels.


    • Perform people management functions to include, but not limited to: hire, coach, develop, motivate, train, evaluate, reward, discipline and terminate. Plan, organize, staff, direct and control the day-to-day operations of the department.
    • Design and execute strategic and tactical plans to support the overall short and long-term business goals for partnership distribution including brand recognition, marketing strategy, policy holder acquisition and retention programs while proactively working with the product group to effectively position and price products to meet the changing needs of the market
    • Coordinate with internal partners to compose communication strategies that position products in new and existing markets to meet profit/growth goals both in the short and long-term
    • Develop personnel to best support partnership distribution, leading and coaching a sales team to carry out the goals and objectives of the department. Generate data-driven strategic decisions based upon market knowledge, which includes competitors, regulatory and legal environment, distribution channel/agent relationships, claims handling trends, and analytics specifically developed for the various partnership channels.  
    • Manage key partner relationships and compensation structures with existing partners, while further cultivating new relationships and ensuring a consistent balance between meeting the company’s needs and offering a value proposition to our partners
    • Construct and manage financial incentives and programs for partners and associates to achieve the goals and targets of the organization
    • Maintain a thorough understanding of competitor and alternative markets within the partner distribution channels and offer enhancements to strategy as market opportunities emerge
    • Articulate financial results and impact of tactics/strategy to senior leadership team
    • Other duties as assigned


    • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Finance, Marketing or similar field is required
    • Insurance credentialing preferred
    • 8+ years of experience in increasingly senior roles and various disciplines within the property & casualty industry, possibly including senior “general management” functions.  Recent experience in sales, marketing and product management is ideal.
