Responsibilities

This position is responsible for providing day to day administrative and technical supervision of a staff of Fast Track Claim Representatives whose primary tasks are the adjudication and settlement of personal automobile physical damage claims. They will oversee the adjusters to ensure that file handling meets company standards and statutory guidelines. This position will direct work assignments, manage work schedules and review work-in-progress. They will be involved in all personnel actions including hiring, performance reviews, salary recommendations, and coordinate training and development for their direct reports. They will manage quality assurance and serve as a technical resource to subordinates. They will be responsible for ensuring productivity, loss ratio, quality handling and budget goals are achieved by their team.


Essential Job Responsibilities

  • Review claim files for accuracy and proper resolution.
  • Grant authority on claim reserves and payments.
  • Monitor pending and reserve adequacy within team.
  • Review incoming file assignments and workload and ensure balancing of workload
  • Provide performance feedback and training to associates.
  • Administer ongoing performance plans and appraisals.
  • Resolve escalation calls from customers.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • 5-7 years of personal auto claims handling experience with a minimum of 1 year of supervisor experience in a fast paced environment or demonstrated experience in a leadership role.
  • Non-Standard personal auto claims experience preferred.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office required (Word, Windows, Excel).
  • Demonstrated organizational, problem solving and analytical skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Multi-jurisdictional experience a plus.
  • Current adjuster licensing or the ability to apply, test and secure state specific licensing where required.
  • Build and maintain effective relationships with business partners and colleagues in order to achieve organizational goals.


Education Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree preferred but not required.
