This position may perform a variety of duties in support of the litigation function. This position would also provide support to the senior leadership team as needed.

Essential Job Responsibilities

  • Review claims legal mail to identify bodily injury demands and appropriately document same in Claim Commander.
  • Administer internal litigation management system, including creating new matters.
  • Update and administer defense panel counsel list, including communication with panel firms regarding required documentation.
  • Completes special projects as assigned by senior management team.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.


  • One to three years of relevant work experience in claims, legal, insurance or other related area.  
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office including Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Knowledge of SharePoint.
  • Strong writing and analytical skills.
  • Exceptional organization skills with a keen attention to detail.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • Ability to prioritize and respond with a high level of urgency when appropriate.
  • Position requires the ability to perform basic math calculations (addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division) and basic statistics.
  • Ability to collect, compile and organize facts, figures and/or other information in support of project specifications.
  • Position requires the ability to provide oral and written communication regarding claims development issues to various departments and levels of management. 

Education Requirements

High School Diploma/GED required

Bachelor’s degree in Business (Marketing, Insurance etc.) preferred.
